THE OFFICIAL CRIB

Picture by Tiffany Budd. The cutlery drawer.
A sentence is like the cutlery drawer, every thing must be in the correct place unless you don't want to get lost. If you want every fork and knife in the corresponding slot, why shouldn't you want every word in their place.

Here's a handout called the official crib, I hope you find it helpful. Print it and post it wherever you want (but let it be visible).

4th ESO - THE SMILING MAN

I'm not much interested in Halloween but I found this scary movie for you to watch. Sepend five terrifying minutes and send me a post comment following the questions bellow.

There is something that makes it petrifying, can you say why? Did you like it?

4th ESO - STRANGE PIECE OF HISTORY

I borrowed this wonderful activity from Colin Granger (2002). Imagine English - 3. Macmillan-Heinemann. A brave woman called Rosa Parks tells us the terrible experience she suffered one day when she was going back home from work.

Click here to download the handout.

4th ESO - Going Ape (i)

We all know that we are closely connected to apes. However we are not usually aware of how strong the connection is. You will watch a simple experiment that tests if humans are hard-wired to do something irrational just to fit in. This is called Norm Conform and I took it from the National Geographic Channel.

Did you watch it? If so, you are ready to post a comment in the blog. Your texts must answer these questions:

Were you surprised when you watched the video? Why?
Do you remember any experience of yours in which you said hm, we're just like monkeys?

Your post must have been sent by October 28th 2013.
